The 2021 Suzuki Swift Series II is here, with more tech to accompany its mid-life facelift.
Arriving to join the Suzuki Swift Sport flagship – which landed in June 2020 – the entry-level GL Navigator, mid-range GL Navigator Plus (replacing the GL Navigator Safety Pack) and GLX Turbo will round out the Swift range.
A new digital speedometer, auto-up power windows and rear speakers are now standard across the line-up.
As before, the Swift comes with a 7.0-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability.
From the Swift GL Navigator Plus and up, buyers get blind-spot assist, rear cross-traffic alert, heated door mirrors and reverse parking sensors.
The range-topping Swift Sport adds keyless entry and start, climate control, adaptive cruise control with speed limiter, LED headlights, leather steering wheel with paddle-shifters (auto only), sports seats and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Both the GL Navigator and GL Navigator Plus are powered by a 66kW/120Nm 1.2-litre four-cylinder, while the GXL Turbo gets a 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder putting out 82kW/160Nm.
The GL Navigator and GL Navigator Plus are available with automatic CVT transmission, but a five-speed manual gearbox is also available in the base GL Navigator. The GLX Turbo gets a six-speed torque-converter auto as its only transmission option.
The flagship Suzuki Swift Sport gets a six-speed manual or six-speed torque-converter automatic transmission to accompany its 103kW/230Nm 1.4-litre turbo four-cylinder.
On the outside, the updated Swift gets a fresh bumper and grille and new 16-inch alloy wheels.
The 2021 Suzuki Swift comes with a five-year/unlimited kilometre warranty and is available to order now.
